A lot of my clients that I’ve worked with over the last 9 months have been new start-ups and most of them are new to business and new to marketing themselves too.
If you are a new start-up – do you have your logo designed yet? If so, this would be a good read for you.
So you’ve got your newly designed logo, your corporate identity. So what’s next? Well, there are a few things to consider:
Shout!! Show off your new logo to all your clients and even to the general public.
Implement!! Start putting it everywhere – on your stationery, email signature, get new Business Cards printed.
Socialise!! If you have a facebook page and/or a twitter account, make sure you update those with your new look.
Now what?
Well, now it’s time to look at your brand platform. There’s no point in having a freshly designed logo, if you’re not then going to use it and support it through your brand values.
Brand Platform consists of the following elements:
Brand Vision – The brand’s guiding insight into its world.
Brand Mission – How the brand will act on its insight.
Brand Values – The code by which the brand lives. The brand values act as a benchmark to measure behaviors and performance.
Brand Personality – The brand’s personality traits.
Brand Tone of Voice – How the brand speaks to its audiences.
Your brand values are extremely important and they say a lot about you and your company. So, what are your brand values? To be a market leader within your industry? How? To stand out from your competitors? How? These are just some of the aspects of your business you need to consider in order to really grow and expand into the future.

Branding is an experience and you want to make sure your target market gets to experience what you have on offer. If you want them to experience a well organised company on hand with advice, then make sure that’s what you provide and make sure that message comes through your brand communications. The most important factor is to remain consistent at all times. If you relax just a little, let your finger off the ball, it could be detrimental to the success of your brand. So, go out there and start communicating. How? Make sure your brand voice is the right tone, encapsulates what you stand for, looks how it should.

Over the last 2 years I have worked closely with Abode-Let.co.uk to ensure their brand communicates the right message across all mediums; facebook, twitter, rightmove etc. It has to appeal to both students, professionals and landlords and it has to be professional yet portray their excellent customer service. I even designed them their own desktop wallpapers, along with iPhone and iPad wallpapers.
