Have you ever worked with a brand designer and it didn’t work out? Did you feel like they just didn’t “get it” or you/your brand?
I’ve heard this time and time again from ladies who have had bad experiences in the past with other designers and it breaks my heart. This is why I offer discovery calls because for me client relationships are all about connection, alignment and empathy.
You’ve got to be the right fit to work with one another, don’t you agree?
Yes, you can look at a designers portfolio and see what their design style is like, but this doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a good match.
This is why I offer discovery calls. I WANT to find out more about you. I want to listen to what you have to say. I want to hear you speak passionately about your business and who you want to help and WHY. I want to see if there is a connection there and how I can help you.
So if you are a female entrepreneur, you’re on a mission to change the world with your digital products and services, you want to make an impact and you want to empower your people – let’s talk.
Here’s what I’ve learnt from working with a lot of female entrepreneurs on their branding:
1. Everyone has their own unique and powerful message to share, so share yours with pride.
2. What works for one client will not work for another. This is why having a brand that 100% reflects you is KEY.
3. Once you are clear on all 12 areas of your brand, your confidence levels will skyrocket!!
Your brand plays many roles so let’s break them down now…
1. Lifestyle.
Your brand should support the lifestyle you want to be living aka making you money, giving you time freedom.
2. Impact.
Your brand can help you make an impact – on your life, your family’s life and on the people you want to work with. But it can also help you in supporting causes that are important to you.
3. Values Driven.
Your values live at the heart of your brand (and you), so they are there to help you run your business in a way that feels completely aligned with you.
4. Message.
It’s all about your message and what you want to be known for. Working on your branding can help you gain clarity around this.
5. Personality.
It’s important to infuse your personality within your brand – this will help you stand out.
6. Story.
Everyone has a story to tell, a reason why they do what they do. Your brand can help you tell your story.
7. Joy.
Your brand should bring you joy – this can be in the form of the people you help, the money you make and the impact you desire.
If you are unclear about any of these areas, it’s time to invest in your branding because it really does live at the very core of your business success.
ONE thing you can do today is to connect with your ideal clients on a deeper level…
Your ideal clients are more like you than you realise.
When you look in a mirror, they’re being reflected back at you.
So take 5-10 mins today to think about your ideal clients as people and how they like to spend their time.
You might just find some similarities and this will give you a boost to create content that connects more deeply with them in terms of behind the scenes content.
Once you do this – start to create relatable content across all your marketing.
Here are some of the things I adore: journaling, oracle cards, candles, hot bubble baths, walking, playing with Lionel (my dog), hot chocolate, reading and being creative (it’s in my blood). I also love working in my slippers.
I bring all of this cosiness into my brand – how my office space is set up, the colours and fonts I use within my own designs, the professional photos I’ve had taken, even down to the style of mugs I drink from.
I took it one step further too and my blog is called a ‘Journal’ rather than a typical ‘blog’ too.
Everything is aligned and this is what I want for you too – and it’s this type of content that will deepen your connection with your potential ideal clients.
