Grate

Moz was recommended to me in February 2018 as she was after a logo for her new business – a cheese shop in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne. 

I loved the name Moz had come up with for her business, ‘grate’ explaining that she loved puns. So after getting a brief from Moz in the form of my in-depth client questionnaire I got to work on the logo design.

I came up with the concept of turning the a in grate into a cheese grater with some cheese beneath it to make it obvious it was a cheese business. I decided to use a really nice font that is simple yet curved at the edges to show the friendliness of the business, yet using earthy colours to represent the refined, raw feel to it all as well.

I later went on to design social media templates and a sticker for grate.
