I was stuck at an income ceiling too… until I shed my own invisible blocks 

My design journey started at 17 when I fell in love with turning ideas into visuals that stop people in their tracks.

Fast-forward working through design agencies and with global brands, and by 2015 I’d built my own business. But here’s the truth: Corporate life drained me, and even running my own show, I hit that frustrating income ceiling. Hustling, working long days, delivering epic launches and sold-out offers for my clients, yet feeling invisible myself.

Something had to shift.

So I decided to tap into my own skills as a therapeutic NLP coach and rewire my own identity in order to reach the next level. I shed the self-doubt keeping me small and stepped into the confident leader my business needed. Suddenly, clients poured in. Revenue scaled. My brand magnetised opportunities.

Now? I help ambitious female entrepreneurs do the exact same.

2007 – 2013

Working at Carrotmedia (a web development agency) I was able to work on a variety of design projects for a range of clients including Action Against Hunger.

Freelance
2013 – 2014

I always had ambitions to run my own business, so I set myself up as a freelance Graphic Designer in late 2013 after being made redundant and started working with women in business as a niche.

Multi Packaging Solutions
2014 – 2015

Working with very well known global confectionery brands whose products you see in the supermarkets, I was able to develop my packaging design skills.

2015 – Present

In 2015 I formed Hollie Ellis Brand Strategy & Design and where I’ve worked with hundreds of women in business. In 2024 I qualified as a NLP Practitioner and NLP Master Practitioner and in 2026 I will qualify as a Therapeutic Coach.
